Russell Martin
Born: February 15, 198
Birthplace: East York, Ontario
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
Height: 5'10
Weight: 210 lbs
Position: Catcher
Notes: Russell Martin came onto the scene in 2006 as a 23 year old. In his rookie season, Russell played in 121 games for the LA Dodgers and played extremely well. 2007, however, is when we were truly introduced. There was definitely no sophmore slump for Russell, as he played in 151 of the Dodgers 162 games, hit 19 Home Run's, 87 RBI's with a .293 batting average. He won both the Silver Slugger award, and Gold Glove award for the catcher position, and was named to the 2007 All-Star game. All of this in only his second year. The future looks bright.
