Eric Gagne
Born: January 7, 1976
Birthplace: Montreal, Quebec
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
Height: 6'2
Weight: 195 lbs
Position: Relief Pitcher
Notes: Eric Gagne is one of Canada's most prolific baseball players ever, for some good things, and one bad thing. The good things were spectacular. During his time as the Closer for the Los Angeles Dodgers, in 2002, 2003 and 2004, Gagne was almost untouchable. He pitched a combined 246.9 innings, gave up only 53 runs on 145 hits, threw a staggering 365 strikeouts, won the National Cy Young award, was named to the All-Star team each year and set a Major League baseball record by converting 84 save chances in a row. The bad news is, in 2007, Eric Gagne was named in "The Mitchell Report" where it he was accused of having taking performance-enhancing drugs like steroids or HGH. For the record, these are only accusations and there is no proof, and Gagne has denied that he took anything.
