Jeff Francis
Born: January 8, 1981
Birthplace: Vancouver, British Columbia
Bats: Left
Throws: Left
Height: 6'5
Weight: 200 lbs
Position: Starting Pitcher
Notes: Jeff Francis was drafted in the 1st round, 9th overall in the 2002 draft, becoming the second highest draft pick Canada has ever produced. And, even though he only has 3 full seasons under his belt, so far he has looked like he was more than worthy of being drafted so high. 2007 was clearly Jeff's breakout season, posting a 17-9 record, pitching 215.3 innings, striking out 165, and leading his cinderella Rockies team to their first ever World Series appearance, after the team had to win 21 of their last 22 games just to make the playoffs. Jeff is quickly becoming one of the best pitchers in the National League.
